About this Position:
Albion Staffing Solutions is seeking for a VP Domestic Brokerage. Leader of an efficient, and timely auto transportation brokerage line of business; actively implements and control the overall concepts and strategy for operations and sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitors and controls the order process, ensuring efficient and adequate flow of operations.
- Develops, implements, and maintains processes to reduce costs and increase customer service.
- Coordinates activities of departments to deliver efficient material movement to drive costs/inventory investment down while improving accuracy and response time to customers.
- Manages the carriers for nationwide coverage, interfacing with vendors, third-party providers truck owners.
- Oversees scheduling of office operations, and the effective utilization of personnel within the brokerage group.
- Works closely with operations team to ensure on-time deliveries through proper daily production scheduling of carriers.
- Reviews and participates in the scheduling of production operations to ensure support of customer requirements.
- Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and implements efficient and effective department processes, policies, and procedures.
- Prepares all required reports and correspondence.
- Develops, implements, and monitors department budget; manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
- Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops logistics staff; manages schedules and workflow.
- Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government. regulations.
