About this opportunity:
Albion's Healthcare Division has a client looking to hire a Medical Technologist /Toxicologist to join their fast-growing Clinical toxicology testing laboratory. This position will be responsible for performing routine sample preparation for drug screening in AU680 Chemistry Analyzer and confirmation testing on Agilent 6460 LC-MS/MS.

Job Duties:

Organizes work by matching computer orders with specimen labeling; sorting specimens; checking labeling; logging specimens; arranging reports for delivery; keeping work surfaces clean and orderly.

Maintains quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble shooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitoring quality control measures and protocols.

Provides test results for patient diagnosis and treatment by operating equipment such as the spectrophotometer and LCMS/MS.

Contributes to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers by following established standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

Maintains patient confidence by keeping laboratory information confidential.

Serves and protects the laboratory by adhering to professional standards, lab policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and COLA standards.

Reviews drug confirmation data from the laboratory, compares with the initial screening data for accuracy and release the results.

Initiates any corrective action in the lab on testing data that has been reviewed and found to be incomplete or inconclusive.

Basic Qualification requirements:

Bachelors in Medical technology, chemistry, toxicology or similar. 

Active Florida Technologist license.

      2+ years LC-MS/MS certifying and releasing experience in a high-throughput clinical setting preferred.

Workplace Location:
Applicants will work in the customer's facility - Located in North Miami, Hollywood and Miami 33137 FL.
