About this Position:
Albion is seeking a Licensed Customs Brokerage Manager in Boston, MA. This is a Direct Hire - Permanent Position.

Job Requirements:

  • Assist in managing the day to day operations and overall compliance of the CHB group
  • Review and establish HTS for new customers
  • Onboard new customers efficiently and effectively
  • Develop and implement measurements to drive compliance and efficient operations
  • Review and document general operations processes and procedures
  • Create and generate internal and customer reports
  • Establish process to audit import entry files
  • Assist in developing, setting and implementing expectations
  • Participate in training new employees
  • Find and implement ways to automate and improve efficiency
  • Improve overall customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Maintenance of existing compliance procedures and review for any improvements or changes
  • Motivate others by example and encourage their development by setting a positive example and productive work environment that fosters learning
  • Implementation and training of any customs software or updates to any compliance systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform in an environment of change, maintaining effectiveness while managing multiple priorities
  • The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively via email, verbally, and in presentations
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload
  • Manages complex transactional or emotional customer situations promptly and professionally
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to travel to meet the demands of training and customer expectations

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field of study preferred
  • Practicing U.S. Customs Broker License Required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of Customs regulations, Customs clearance, and Customs brokerage
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience supervising teams in multiple branches
  • Industry expert in international freight forwarding focused on high volume accounts
  • Proficient in Cargowise Software System
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
