About this opportunity:

Albion Staffing Solutions is looking for an Assistant to Operations to work for a technology distributor of IT and electronics products located in the North Miami Beach, FL area. 

Lead Team.  Provide ongoing support, coaching and development of direct reports (Shipping Manager, RMA Supervisor, Receiving Team Leader, and Quality Control Technician).  Ensure supervisors are providing the same for their team members.  Interview and hire new employees.

Monitor Progress. Conduct daily meetings with each work area team.  Continually monitor Operations Dashboard to ensure smooth flow of operation throughout the day.  Monitor trends over time to ensure KPIs are met.

Direct Duties:

·        Train with each supervisor to understand their team, their team activities, and how they prioritize their work.

·        Train in each work area to understand how to perform each job within the warehouse

·        When Supervisors are not present, manage their work activities during their absence.

Assist Director of Operations with the following activities.

·        Manage Operations.  Responsible for the life cycle of inventory through the warehouse and daily operations including Receiving, Inventory Control, RMA, Quality Control, and Shipping.

·        Receiving. Ensure all product on each PO is accounted for, inspected versus specifications, kitted as necessary to meet standard, received into Dynamics, and placed in inventory.

·        Inventory Control.  Oversee the security of all inventory.  Maintain controls over how product is received, labeled, moved and stored to reflect accurate inventory count and location at all times.

·        RMA.  Responsible for management of the Return Material Authorization process, including product tracking and assuring the returned, repaired or refurbished product meets customer specifications.

·        Quality Control.  Ensure that final repaired or refurbished product meets stated customer specifications and is brought appropriately into inventory to maximize sales.

·        Shipping. Prioritize and manage the picking/packing process to ensure all open orders ship according to stated time standard.

·        Safety.  Maintain appropriate employee training, racking structure, work stations and equipment to ensure safe transport and storage of all materials.  Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations.

·        Security.  Continually update security procedures and security system to protect assets/inventory of the organization from theft..


 ·        Minimum five years of management experience working with operations in a computer–aided warehouse environment; experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV highly preferred.

·        Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

·        Requires excellent communication, process management, and planning skills, as well as knowledge of shipping/fulfillment process management.


·        This position works intermittently in an office and warehouse environment with moderate noise levels. Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperature.

·        Individual may need to sit for long periods of time while operating a keyboard and/or communicating via telephone. 

·        May also involve standing/walking/stooping/ reaching as needed primarily on a level surface throughout the day. 

·        May include frequent lifting of boxes up to 25 pounds.
