Ambulatory Surgical Center Director
Our client, a multi-specialty healthcare organization servicing the tri-county areas is currently seeking to hire a Director for their new Ambulatory Surgical Center in West Palm Beach.
The director sets the overall vision and objectives for all areas of responsibility. Helps to drive the strategy for the Ambulatory Surgical Center product line. Areas of responsibility include, but may not be limited to: the effective and efficient operation of a free-standing, single-specialty ambulatory surgery center, engagement of physician investors, resource allocation, and staff and leadership development. Member of BOS Strategic Planning group. Will be responsible for revenue cycle management- maximizing revenue for the facility.
Will have 7-10 direct reports and a total of sixty employees. Clinical or perioperative experience preferred but not required.The director needs that operational experience as well. Familiarity with a hospital or outpatient environment is necessary. Although he has health-care it’s always been in a third party relationship. The director will be credentialing and licensing for the physicians and the center, they’re involved in the day to day of the employee/staff engagement, clinical and administrative operations, physician relations, education of staff and physicians and although he’d be excellent in a heavily revenue driven environment he is missing a few key pieces for this center that the previous director has set in place with her 21 years there.
Bachelors degree in Health Admin. Masters degree in Business Administration – MBA or health related fields strongly preferred. Masters must be completed within 1 year of hire date in role.
Three to five years experience in a leadership position at a hospital, health system, or other ambulatory setting.
Strong planning, financial and communication skills required. Ability to work in a fast paced environment balancing multiple priorities and the needs of various stakeholders.

Growing organizational brand in new market (Palm Beach)
Physician business development and implementation of growth strategies to benefit the organization
Development and implementation of employee engagement plans
Oversight of day-to-day operations of free-standing ASC
